quite disappointed you only managed to find a good hunt that day. singaporeans' style are really that bad? i do know we do not really have a own street style or a own fashion style. we often get ideas from other countries instead like the us or jap. hope you will develop our own style one day.

anyway i thought she was quite over. its so hot in singapore and she is wearing boots? thats unrealistic for our weather. i hope ppl could dress with style and but not sweat under a wool jacket although its fashionable. its quite dumb to have done that. if its me i would have done something that could be wearable in this weather yet stylish. do you ever see someone wear a pair of leather boots in summer? yes, if its a lunatic.

katee, singapore

i do agree that there isn't a big deal about fashion students because they study fashion. the more should they dress well. if they can't then it would be really wrong.

i feel that everyone has their own style. its just how to view it. i think there is lots of good dressing on the streets that is yet to be discovered. never miss out those areas they may let you get some great finds. its never where you are in.

Think you should head to Orchard Road tomorrow Yvan. Generally though, fashion here is pretty standard & unimaginative. There are exceptions of course so hope you find those.

this is what happens when the world gets so influenced by impulses from all over the world. this might as well have been shot in London...It´s the sad result of media, and the internet. Peaople seem to strive for the same looks, and it all becomes rediculously uniform. Singapore is by the way quite a clinical place, both in terms of the spanking clean streets, new builds and mega corporations. A bit like an Asian geneva of sorts. Or The Docklands in London. Lot´s of "suits" and corporates. Head to Little India- that´s the most vibrant part of the city, and you´d be sure to shoot some fabulous outfits not based on purely whats trendy this sec (or last season...)

Hey guys, live and let live, yah? We all have different ideas of what style is. So let's be less bitchy about our comments about our own Singaporeans and more beachy with what our sunny isle can offer.

And since Yvan chose her, I'm sure she has a measure of style :). I support yah girl!

this is such a joyous blog that celebrates individuality and lifestyles. so it is painful when people come in and get negative or even worse, abusive. if a particular style isn't your cup of tea, respect others opinions and keep them to yourself. we have enough ugliness in the world already. Hope you enjoyed Singapore and we are always happy to have you back :)
